Nice looking White Sewing Machine that's unique & rare.. Not sure its age but it looks like the train locomotive is from 1950s or 1960s . These machines were made in Japan for White. It has a left aligned needle. It will sew a full width zig-zag, progressing from the left instead of centered as most machines on the market. Threading the machine is very typical for the era. It uses a push button for reverse. The white buttons on the lower right raise and lower the feed dogs.

I have a vintage treadle sewing machine. The cabinet lid has "Sears, Roebuck & Co." on it. The macine itself is an Edgemere, I have not been able to find a thing about it on the internet. The cabinet finish is rough and the back of one of the drawers is missing. The machine itself seems to be in working order although the drive belt is broken, but all the parts move.
